Welcome to Concord
A great value without sacrificing modern conveniences
Concord is a northeastern Bay Area community home to regional parks and scenic trails offering sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay. Botanical gardens, lush landscaping, and a picturesque downtown are just a few reasons to love this great community. Todos Santos Plaza offers excellent shopping and dining options, while residential enclaves enjoy unmatched levels of peace and quiet. A greater value for larger lots than other nearby communities offers more privacy and room to live and grow.
The valleys of nearby Mount Diablo were first inhabited by the native Miwok people, with Concord incorporating into a city in 1905. The surrounding area was a vast agricultural region, growing California walnuts, almonds, and more. Today, several Miwok and other indigenous people still live within the city limits, and locals appreciate the untouched beauty of the greenery surrounding them. Together, Concord residents appreciate their town’s simplistic past, while looking forward to an upbeat future.

Local Lifestyle
Concord locals are thankful for their ample amount of space, allowing them to explore the best of Northern California. A high concentration of parks, shopping and dining options, and fun activities for all age groups have made Concord a great option for those needing to get away from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. Essential trips into the city are easy, thanks to the BART yellow line, which departs from Concord every 15 minutes. Despite this, locals find they don’t need to stray too far from home to take care of essential errands. Many necessary stops such as Costco and Sam’s Club, among others, are conveniently located in town. Todos Santos Plaza is a communal park and playground surrounded by a variety of boutiques and eateries, including options for pizza, coffee, fried chicken, and other exotic cuisines.
Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping
Family-run businesses and natural beauty have come together in perfect harmony in Concord. Great weather throughout the majority of the year has made alfresco dining, days at the park, and afternoons strolling the streets some of the best ways to spend an afternoon.
Mercado del Sol specializes in authentic Mexican cuisine at fair prices. This hidden gem serves healthy portions of colorful classics including taco plates, rotisserie chicken, chile rellenos, al pastor, and menudo, a traditional Mexican soup made from a red chili pepper broth.
The Concord Community Pool is one of the most popular facilities in town, serving nearly 125,000 swimmers per year. This large public pool offers award-winning swim classes, recreational programs, and space for local teams to practice. Open year-round, the pool is heated to 80 degrees, features heated changing facilities, and professional lifeguards on duty.
